i used to look forward to the boss-less carefree working saturdays and sundays. weekends used to mean low volume of production load, some routine checks on the machines and the solutions, then going home on time.

now i dread weekends. it seems that all the process issues that escaped and got past our quality assurance gates gather together and mingle, maybe even chat over some cappuccino, stay low away from the spotlights, then resurface and attack on weekends... during my 12-hr weekend shift. lots are put on hold, our line is under tighter and more strict gating, machines get shutdown tags at the same time, line defects are detected causing more shutdown tags.

today was one of those dreaded weekends. at least, tonight, i'll be going back to my semiHome with acid-stain-free skin, and hole-free jeans.

i'm OK, though. 'could be better, but OK nonetheless.
