Butterflied

Was able to make some more butterfly-sanctuary-looking-prints last night while at my parents' house. I still feel that the photocopy transfer was not the best idea for the text, but my old old old speedball nibs were nowhere to be found. And my calligraphy is probably as rusty as the lost nibs anyway, so I still used the photocopy transfers. Hmm hm hmm..

Tats spent the night at our place and she wanted to visit the butterfly place so that's what we did this morning. Unlike my first visit, the place was packed this time with super kulit students on field trip. There were kids catching butterflies >_< moms running after their kids and taking pictures and kids running away from the winged creatures. Heh. The nice friendly person guarding the exit (*nfpgte) showed us how to approach a butterfly so it would stay still on our hands, so Tats and I and the kids I scolded for trying to catch the butterflies spent a good half-hour or more doing what the nfpgte did. The nfpgte also insisted that we take pics of the mating butterflies. This is one thing I didnt understand... why do I have to take a pic of the butterflies while they are sharing a 'private' moment? But he was nice with us, I wasn't able to protest. Gonna put up the pics soon. I've uploaded some pics here. ;)

I'm a Pepsi fan. But Vanilla Coke rocks my world.

I'm thinking of re-designing this place... maybe put more focus on the art and words sections, or maybe just do another lay-out for mindswap so it wouldnt look as cluttered. Then I remembered I dont know much html and tables and frames and php and a lot of other stuff.


Bleh.

I got interested in carving eraser stamps some few weeks ago. Got to try my first butterfly stamp last week.

I'm at Kit and Mike's place right now. Finished watching HP2 a while ago. :) And now i'm scanning old works so i can put something up (and maybe even sell ;p) at dAprints. ms got me the account many months ago, and it's high time i replace the blank space with thumbnails.


Update as of 7.57 am:
Haven't slept yet. The prints i submitted are now waiting for approval. I hate thinking about the price >_< I dont know if I'm overpricing or not... so many things to consider.
Headache.. headache..
