Dreaming / Ryuu (iPhone 4s)

For yeaaaarsss I have dreamed of visiting Japan during spring to see cherry blossoms in full bloom. Several times I have added the little flowers to my paintings and illustrations, hoping to capture the delicate petals with my brush strokes.


To this day walking under blossoming Sakura trees remains a dream.

EARTH Table

Last April Bliss Cafe owner and wonderful friend Jim asked me to collaborate with artist Tomas Leonor for a project. Earth is half of the project. The other half - Heaven - is Tomas' assignment.

Painting this wasn't easy, mainly because I don't know how to use acrylic :p Aside from that sad fact, I was in the middle of preparing for a work trip to Seoul when this project came up, and had 4 days to repaint, conceptualize and finish the painting. Generally happy with how it turned out though. :)

The new Bliss Cafe is at Elizabeth Hotel along Gibraltar Rd. in Baguio City.
